Russell Brand is a comedian and broadcaster. The BBC reported that he began posting regular video on politics, spirituality, and UFOs, and that in September 2023 his main YouTube channel had 6.6 million subscribers. He also posts on Rumble.[1] When YouTube removed one of his Covid-19 videos, the BBC reported, he launched a daily live show on Rumble titled Stay Free with Russell Brand.[1]

The Guardian reported that Rumble and Brand announced an exclusive deal in September 2022 to stream that daily show on Rumble, after YouTube had removed and demonetized videos of his that promoted Covid-19 conspiracy theories.[2]

The ads, and the allegations[edit]

YouTube suspended his ability to earn ad money on 19 September 2023. The BBC said the suspension covered channels owned or operated by him. Several women had accused him of rape and sexual assault. He denied the allegations.[3]

He used Rumble to post the denial. Reuters said that on 21 September 2023 the channel had 1.42 million followers, and that Rumble's chief executive, Chris Pavlovski, rejected a British lawmaker's request to stop Brand earning money there. Pavlovski called the letter an attempt to control who may speak on the platform and who may earn a living from it.[4]

The subscriber and follower figures on this page are September 2023. Each one is a stock of follows or subscriptions. This page does not treat them as a 2026 audience, and it does not estimate what the show earns. The allegations are allegations. He denies them.
