PurgeGamers

Kevin Godec (born 17 August 1987), known as Purge or PurgeGamers, is an American Dota 2 educator, analyst, and streamer. His beginner guides and co-streams (including teaching Sean "Day9" Plott) made him one of the game's most influential teachers.<ref name="lp">Liquipedia – Purge</ref><ref name="de">Dot Esports</ref>

Career

After studying physics and leaving an engineering path, Godec launched PurgeGamers tutorials around 2011, authored the widely circulated "Welcome to Dota, You Suck" style guides, appeared on Valve's new-player International streams, and briefly played/managed Team Zephyr while continuing educational Twitch content.<ref name="de" />
