== Early life ==
Morosan was born in Suceava, Romania, and later settled in Canada. As a child he played paper ''Magic: The Gathering'', developing an analytical approach to rules and card evaluation that later informed digital card-game success. In university he studied mathematics and physics but found the coursework unsatisfying while spending increasing time on ''World of Warcraft''.
